Axel Beckert joined Douglas as an editor at the Unofficial Blosxom User Group in March 2006. He's using Blosxom only since summer 2005 in his blog, but hacks Perl and dynamic web pages since about 1996.

So it's no wonder he started writing Blosxom plugins quite shortly after starting to use Blosxom and doesn't fear to modify any plugin if he'd like to use it in a slightly other way than intended.

Douglas Nerad set up the Unofficial Blosxom User Group in the hope of creating a useful resource for Blosxom users. A Blosxom user since January of 2003, he's designed and set up several Blosxom based sites for friends, as well as a few collaborative writing projects for the maintainer of I Am Defiant.

Doug is not a Perl Monger and believes from experience that if he can learn to install and use Blosxom then, well, just about anyone can. He also would like to note that he hates writing biographies because he's not really as pretentious as all that.
